Reporting procedure for school closure in severe weather

There is a new reporting procedure for all Leeds Schools to follow in the event of a school closure during severe weather conditions.

If our school has to close, then we shall inform Education Leeds who will put it on their website, www.educationleeds.co.uk . This will automatically send the closure information to local radio stations Radio Leeds and Radio Aire.

We shall also text parents who have signed up for Parentmail.

A Welcome from the Headteacher
I'd like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the staff, governors, parents and children, to extend to you a very warm welcome to our school's website.

We pride ourselves at St Margaret's on providing a high quality education in a warm family environment for all our children, in all areas, regardless of their ability.

Whilst academic attainment is important to us here, we greatly value the achievements of our children in other areas. The Arts, Sports, Personal and Social Development are all emphasised at St Margaret's, and our children are encouraged to develop their potential in all these aspects.

We serve a wide community, and prepare children to become citizens of that wider community, to respect all cultures and faiths and to work together as a team.
