Welcome back16 Jan 2019We would like to begin by saying a big thank you for your generous gifts given to the staff at Christmas, they were much appreciated.
Our first few days back have been as busy as usual with lots of exciting activities, we have started our Victorian topic off with a fantastic dance shop, where the children took part in dancing in small groups learning 3 different routines. The children really enjoyed the experience with them saying that it was a very strange way to dance and they were shocked at how much energy it took.
This term our topic is the Victorians and how they lived, this will include investigating the local area. We will be exploring the lives of the Victorians and how that differs from life today.
We will be continuing the Victorian theme in  our writing and will be writing fact files for Victorian inventions and a diary for a child in this era.
In Maths our topic for the first half of this term will be multiplication and division. We ask that the children continue to use Mathletics where possible to consolidate and extend their learning at home. Tasks will be set and added to when and where appropriatly.
We hope that the weather continues to be mild as we are beginning to practice our skipping for the event later on I  the term.
Thank you once again for your continuing support and we are looking forward to an exciting term ahead.
The Year 4 team.
