Mount Grace are building up to designing and then creating their own healthy sandwiches. Today they tasted a variety of breads to possibly use in their sandwiches. They had to think about appearance, smell, texture and taste.

On Tuesday the whole of Year 4 travelled to Harrogate to take part in a whole host of activities linked to wildlife and nature.

We have been learning clarinet with Mr Duffy for a few weeks now and we are really starting to get the hang of it. Most of us can make a sound now (which is harder than you'd imagine) and we are beginning to learn some tunes.

We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day (a week late due to the snow!). We did a book scavenger hunt and even designed our own alternative book covers for our favourite books.

EVERY SINGLE DAY last week, Mount Grace got themselves at least one star for wonderful lining up! This is a record and it helped us fill up our cube jar, which means we are now due a class treat. This is yet to be decided and will be taking place next Thursday, on the last day of this half term!

On Wednesday 17th January Year 4 travelled to Armley Mills to experience what life what like for Victorian children.

We had a wonderfully festive time at Lister Hill, hearing all about the Christmas story and taking part in some Christmas activities.

We invited Year 1 down to the outside classroom to watch us do a clarinet performance in the warm weather.

Today, a dance instructor came in to teach 4M some street dance moves. We worked as a team to put together a sequence together to Ed Sheeran's Shape of You.

A mass tooth brushing session on the school field using the tooth brushing techniques a visiting dentist advised us to use.

Today we dedicated a whole morning to investigating and experimenting with sound. We looked at how volume can be increased and decreased and how pitch can be changed.

To link with our work on Victorian Horsforth we visited Armley Mills. We spent the day finding out about Victorian mill workers and attended a Victorian school room to find out more about Victorian school life.
