Pupil Absences

If your child is absent through sickness or any unavoidable cause, please inform the school by 9.30am.  The preferred way to report absences is via the Parentmail app.  If this is not possible, please email or telephone the school office in the first instance to authorise the absence.

The school has discretionary power to grant a leave of absence in accordance with Leeds Council’s Absence Policy, sent out to all parents at the beginning of each school year. The school must collect and report details of absences by law.  Attendance is a performance indicator.

Please see the Attendance Policy page under Statutory Information for further guidance regarding pupil absence, including Leave of Absence application forms.
