Headteacher’s Welcome
Welcome to St Margaret’s Church of England Primary School, Horsforth.
It is a real privilege to lead such a vibrant, inclusive, and caring school community. At St Margaret’s, we are proud to be a school where children Flourish, Achieve and Believe—our FAB values that sit at the heart of everything we do.
Rooted in our Christian foundation, we are guided by our Christian Values which we focus on termly through our Collective Worships and our PROUD values of Purpose, Respect, Openness, Unity and Determination which we celebrate though weekly rewards. These values shape not only our curriculum but also how we treat one another and grow together as a school family.
We are proud of every one of our children—of their academic achievements, their personal growth, their creativity, and their contributions to school life. Whether it’s through inspiring classroom learning, exciting enrichment opportunities like drama, sport, and Forest School, or the many ways they support and serve the wider community, our pupils show every day what it means to live out our values.
We believe that every child matters, and we welcome families of all faiths and none. As a non-selective Church of England school, we celebrate the wonderful diversity of our school community and are deeply committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment for all. We love to celebrate the heritage languages and cultures from our ever-changing school community and welcome visitors to share stories with our children.
Our school is enriched by strong community links across Horsforth. We are proud to work closely with St Margaret’s Church, Horsforth Churches Together, and support local projects such as the Horsforth Walk of Art and Horsforth Climate Action. These partnerships help our children see their role as active, responsible citizens who can make a difference.
Whether you are a prospective parent, a visitor, or a member of our wider community, I hope this website gives you a glimpse into what makes St Margaret’s such a special place to learn and grow. If you would like to see our school in action, please do get in touch for a visit—we’d love to welcome you.
Warmest wishes,
Mrs R Maiden
